Expedition Sombreros are commercial quality with full stainless steel frames, stainless steel hardware, and top-of-the-line Sunbrella canvas in your choice of colors. Expedition Sombreros are suitable for everything you can throw at it, including Grand Canyon trips and commercial fleets. Naturally, Expedition Sombreros provide cool shade for your raft, stability in wind, quick stowing, and easy mounting to decks or frames.
Sizing
We recommend 6' Sombreros for rafts 13' and under so your Sombrero can comfortably fold onto the back of your raft without overhanging. 8' lengths provide more shade for longer rafts. To select the width, measure center points to center points for frame mounting or just inside your outside frame pipe for deck or slide track mounting. Aluminum Frame Mount Kit
Aluminum frame mounts are bomber stiff and strong. Made in Durango, CO from solid aluminum machined to perfectly fit the contour of your frame and finished with smooth edges. Sold as pairs complete with stainless steel hardware. 1 5/8" fits NRS and similar diameter frames, and 2" fits RBW, DRE, and commercial frames.
